For the construction of the Manzanillo Railway Bridge in Manzanillo, Colima, Grúas y Equipos García carried out the transfer of beams for transfer of beams for bridges and their subsequent assembly.

The Nebraska type girders had an approximate weight of 160 tons, with a 240-ton camber and 45 meters long, which is why a 275-ton crane was used for their erection. 275-ton crane was used for its erection.

In addition, Aashto IV type beams have also been loaded, moved and assembled with the help of 90 and 50-ton cranes to speed up the construction of this important project.

This construction represents a benefit for the logistics of port and railway activity, and also solves the transit of Manzanillo through five crossings.

This project had an investment of 933 million pesos and had three phases:

  • The first phase is the one that connects with the railway viaduct, passes through the urban area of the city, and with the help of our cranes, an elevated viaduct is built.
  • The second is where the tunnel is located with a height of 11.50 meters and allows the passage of trains with double stowage.
  • The third is the one that connects with the port of Manzanillo.

Grúas y Equipos García has carried out the transfer of beams for bridges and their subsequent erection, together with the Government of Manzanillo and the company Freyssinet.
